The Federal Authorities has begun disbursing funds to over 9,000 workers members of tertiary establishments underneath the newly established Tertiary Establishment Employees Help Fund (TISSF).

Backstory
The Tertiary Establishment Employees Help Fund (TISSF) was launched in August 2025 as a part of the Federal Authorities’s Nigerian Training Sector Renewal Initiative (NESRI).
The TISSF portal formally opened in September 2025 to allow tertiary establishment workers to use for interest-free loans capped at 33.3 per cent of their gross annual wage. Eligible candidates embody confirmed full-time tutorial and non-academic workers of federal and state universities, polytechnics, and schools of schooling who’ve at the least 5 years remaining earlier than retirement.
Purposes require verified employment particulars, NIN, BVN, bank statements, and proof of workers affiliation membership.
