BBNaija: Goddessa evicted from BBNaija reality show

Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate Goddessa has been evicted from the “Show Ya Sef” house after five weeks, becoming the latest casualty in a competition that is rapidly entering a more intense phase.

Goddessa’s departure was announced during Sunday’s live eviction show, with the official BBNaija account describing her as the seventh housemate to leave the house and signalling that the questions surrounding her five-week journey are only beginning.

Her exit comes alongside that of Sultex, who was also evicted during the live show, reducing the number of housemates competing for the season’s grand prize to 17. The 2026 edition began on July 26 with 24 contestants competing for a record N160 million prize package.

Goddessa, whose real name is Lovette Okechukwu, is a musician from Abia State who entered the house hoping to use the platform to expand her music career while showcasing her personality to a wider audience.

Before joining BBNaija, she had already built a profile as a performer and described music as central to her life. She also enjoys dancing, reading and cooking.

Her time in the house quickly established her as one of the season’s more noticeable personalities, with her confidence, spontaneity and interactions with other housemates repeatedly generating conversations among viewers.

One of the major storylines surrounding Goddessa was her relationship with fellow housemate Araga.

The pair shared a kiss earlier in the season, creating an early romantic storyline that drew attention from viewers.

However, the relationship later became complicated.

On Day 34, following the Saturday Night Link-Up, Araga attempted to apologise to Goddessa over the way he had spoken to her. Goddessa rejected the approach and made it clear that she wanted space.

She later told Abi and Sheba that she believed Araga liked her but felt his ego was affecting their relationship. She also objected to what she perceived as his attempts to influence her behaviour around other male housemates.

For Goddessa, the central issue was trust. She maintained that she had only recently met Araga and wanted the freedom to make her own choices.

The tension became one of the defining narratives of her final days in the house.

Goddessa had previously demonstrated that she could survive the pressure of the game.

During an earlier round of nominations, she attracted significant attention from her fellow contestants. In Week Two, she reportedly received six nominations, the highest number among the housemates at the time, yet survived the eviction process.

She was again exposed to the public vote in Week Four, when she was among the housemates nominated alongside Cassi, Araga, Nomy, Temi Nkem, Tram and Yusuf. Cassi eventually became the only housemate evicted that week, with Goddessa recording the second-highest vote share among those contestants according to Channels Television’s report.
