Manchester City have shown interest in signing Marc Guiu from Chelsea.
TEAMTalk reports that the young striker has caught the attention of City manager Enzo Maresca, who has previously overseen Chelsea’s operations.
With City anticipated to transfer Omar Marmoush to Tottenham Hotspur, they are seeking additional attacking options, and Guiu’s name has emerged in discussions.
City are also considering Chelsea’s Enzo Fernandez and Malo Gusto, but Guiu is viewed as a practical addition following Marmoush’s exit.
The 20-year-old is regarded as a potential backup to the tireless Erling Haaland, who secured the league’s Golden Boot last season with 27 goals.
Maresca envisions Guiu as a player who can enhance the depth of the central attacking position.
Manchester City are attentively observing the situation at Stamford Bridge as the transfer deadline approaches, with the Blues also looking to offload Liam Delap and Nicolas Jackson.
Guiu, a product of Barcelona’s renowned La Masia academy, transferred to Chelsea in 2024 for approximately £5 million.
However, he is not included in the current plans of coach Xabi Alonso and has not been assigned a squad number.
