The family of Anthony Adeniyi Adeosun, husband of former Finance Minister Kemi Adeosun, has announced plans for his funeral in Lagos.
A night of tributes will be held at 5pm on Wednesday, August 12, at Harbour Point Event Centre, Wilmot Point Road, Victoria Island.
His funeral service is scheduled for 10am the following day, Thursday, August 13, at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, City of David, Trinity Towers, Chief Yesufu Abiodun Oniru Road, Victoria Island.
The details were contained in a funeral announcement signed by Wale Adeosun on behalf of the family.
Anthony, popularly known as Niyi, died in Lagos on Wednesday, August 5, aged 62.
In announcing his death, the family described him as a respected businessman and committed Christian whose life positively influenced those around him.
“It is with profound sorrow, yet in total submission to the will of Almighty God, that the Adeosun family announces the passing of our beloved husband, father, and brother, Mr Anthony Adeniyi (Niyi) Adeosun, who was called home to glory on Wednesday, 5th August 2026, in Lagos.
“He was 62 years old. Niyi was a distinguished businessman and a devoted Christian whose integrity, generosity, and steadfast faith touched the lives of all who knew him.
“He lived a life defined by hard work, service to God, and an unwavering commitment to his family and community,” they said.
The family described him in the funeral notice as their “dearly beloved son, brother, husband and father”.
He is survived by his wife, Kemi, his children and siblings, including Adewale Adeosun, founder of Kuramo Capital.
