Nigerian music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has spoken up regarding the impact the now defunct P-Square had on his career.
The artist, while during an interview with BBC, revealed that he used to speak proudly about the music duo while in school, regarding them as proof of success for Nigerian artists when he was younger.
Davido also explained that P-Square’s international success broke barriers for other young Nigerian artists and motivated him to dream big.
“P-Square inspired me. I used to tell my friends in school about how they were two African artistes who had a song with Snoop Dogg and were friends with Kanye West,” he said.
The former music duo, P-Square, was made up of twin brothers Peter and Paul Okoye. They were widely regarded as one of Africa’s most influential music groups.
