The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has warned candidates who previously uploaded their O’Level results against uploading them again or obtaining a new verification code under its new verification system.
The Board gave the directive in a statement signed by its Acting Director, Public Affairs and Protocol, Fabian Benjamin, following complaints from candidates seeking clarification on the new process.
JAMB said the clarification covers candidates who uploaded their results during the current registration exercise, after the release of WAEC results and those who submitted their results in previous years under the old system.
“All candidates who have previously uploaded their O’Level results do not need to re-upload their results or obtain a verification code again,” the Board said.
It added that O’Level results uploaded through the previous process remain valid and will continue to be recognised on its platform.
According to JAMB, the new verification process is aimed at strengthening checks on O’Level results and preventing falsified results from being used for admission.
JAMB said candidates whose results were uploaded under the old process would only be subjected to the appropriate verification by their institutions where necessary.
The Board advised affected candidates not to make repeat uploads simply because their results were submitted before the new verification arrangement was introduced.
