Shooting Stars technical adviser, Salisu Yusuf, has said that he is anticipating a tough clash against Inter Lagos in their opening game of the season.
The Oluyole Warriors will do battle with the newly promoted club at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan on Friday.
Yusuf said his players are eager to make a positive impact in the new season.
The former Super Eagles assistant coach insisted that the players are adapting to his tactics.
“I just came into the team a week ago, and I believe the players are comprehending what we are trying to imbibe in them,” Yusuf told 3SCfantv.
“Though it will take time for them, I believe they are improving from the standard they were last season.
“The first game is always hard because so many expectations will be on the players, and they will also want to impress the coach, being a new tactician in the team.
“I saw the team; they have good potential, and I believe they will continue to grow as the season progresses.”
