A daughter of veteran Yoruba cinema actor Taiwo Hassan has denied circulation reports alleging her father’s d£ath, dismissing the claim as fabricated and urging the public to cease disseminating false information.
A death rumour surfaced on social media on Tuesday after a social media user claimed that one of the actor’s daughters had announced his passing, characterising his condition as having deteriorated beyond institutional intervention.
One of Ogogo’s daughters, Lima Taiwo, rejected the report as inaccurate through social media, emphasising repeatedly that the claim constituted misinformation.
The clarification followed emotional appeals issued by Lima and her sister Kira one day earlier, seeking medical assistance for their father, who is confronting stage-four cancer.

Lima disclosed in a Monday video that the actor’s condition had substantially worsened and alleged that medical facilities had terminated his treatment.
She appealed to cancer specialists, hospitals and healthcare professionals to provide intervention, stressing that the family was requesting medical support rather than financial contributions.
She noted the family had been unaware of his illness’s severity until approximately three weeks prior, as his external appearance had not initially suggested the seriousness of his condition.
Kira’s separate video confirmed her father’s stage-four cancer diagnosis and disclosed that his treating hospital had communicated inability to administer further chemotherapy.
She appealed to medical institutions and specialists capable of providing treatment and encouraged anyone who could assist to establish contact with either daughter, expressing determination to secure therapeutic intervention.
