The Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) on Monday protested at the Abuja Continental Hotel over alleged anti-union activities by the hotel’s management.
TUC members gathered at the hotel and blocked its entrance, carrying placards accusing the management of preventing workers from joining trade unions.
The union said the action was aimed at defending the workers’ right to freedom of association and demanding that the hotel respect their right to unionise.
The protest temporarily disrupted access to the hotel as union members called for the workers’ rights to be respected.
