Evicted BBNaija season 11 housemate Gerard has opened up on his plans to establish himself in the Nollywood industry after leaving the reality show.
Gerard, while speaking during an interview with P.M.NEWS, disclosed that he would like to be recognised as a very good actor and eventually transition into directing and filmmaking in the nearest future.
“I want somebody to find myself as a very good actor in the industry, one of the best, I believe. I just need the opportunities and the chance to show that. But for now, I want to make my mark as an actor. I’m good at other things, but my main focus now is the screen, for sure. Eventually, start to direct and create my own movies,” he stated.
Gerard also spoke up regarding some perceptions made about his personality and age, stressing that he is actually 23-years-old. He admitted that he is often mistaken for someone older because of his appearance and demeanour.
“I’m actually 23. I don’t know why that’s so hard to believe. I don’t know what you guys were seeing on the outside, he said, noting that he has his birth certificate to back up his age.
Gerard also acknowledged that his connection with Kamsy developed because of the unique environment of the Big Brother house. He described her as an awesome person, noting that life outside the house, however comes with a different dynamic.
“Everything that happens in the Big Brother house is happening because we’re in the Big Brother house. The outside world is the outside world. It’s a different dynamic entirely once we’re back outside. Acting is still my focus for right now, just to make my mark there and then from there, spread out to other things, for sure,” he said.
