President of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has urged billionaires with private aircraft worth $900 million to put their wealth into production in Nigeria.
He made the disclosure on Monday in his remarks as Dangote Refinery’s Initial Public Offering officially went live on the Nigerian Exchange Limited.
According to him, Nigeria cannot become a great nation without doing something productive.
He said he got his first private jet at the age of 22 and a half.
“I try as much as I can to encourage people who are riding $900 million aircraft to please go and put that into production. We are not going to be a great nation without doing something productive,” Dangote said.
Dangote Refinery’s IPO, valued at N2.15 trillion, opened on Monday, September 14. It consists of 4.1 billion new ordinary shares offered at N525 per share, with a minimum subscription of 10 shares valued at N5,250.
