President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu are among dignitaries expected to attend the 90th birthday celebration of elder statesman and prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) leader, Prince Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi, in Lagos.
The week-long celebration, scheduled for October 2026, is expected to attract political leaders, traditional rulers, Islamic scholars and other prominent personalities from across Nigeria.
In a statement signed by the Secretary of the Planning Committee, Dr. Seyi Bamigbade, Tinubu and the First Lady will attend as the Distinguished Special Guests of Honour.
Sanwo-Olu will serve as the Chief Host, while Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire will chair the Central Planning Committee.
As part of the activities marking the milestone birthday, Prince Olusi will be installed as the Baba Adinni of Yorubaland by the Yoruba Land Council of Islamic Preachers.
The installation is scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026, and will be conducted by the council, led by its National Ameer, Sheikh Taofeeq Akeugbagold.
The celebration will also feature the Prince Dr. Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi Annual Leadership Symposium and Scholarship Awards, as well as the official launch of the Academy.
A special prayer and thanksgiving service is scheduled for Friday, October 9, 2026, at the Lagos Central Mosque.
The activities will culminate in the grand finale, the Pa Olusi Grand Reception Party, bringing together family members, political associates, community leaders and other guests to celebrate the life and contributions of the nonagenarian.
