US President Donald Trump gave his executive assistant Natalie Harp a cash gift of 45,000 dollars according to reports.

Two other White House employees, Margo Martin and Chamberlain Harris, also received the same amount.

All three described the payments as a cash gift for the holidays on their financial disclosure forms.

Natalie Harp has been constantly with Trump during his second term, sometimes typing his social media posts and printing out information for him.

She is known as the human printer because of this role.

Natalie Harp earns 150,000 dollars a year as special assistant and executive assistant to the president.

A White House spokesperson defended the gifts, saying Trump has a longstanding practice of giving Christmas gifts to people around him, including employees and aides.

The spokesperson said the gifts were unrelated to any of the individuals’ work duties and therefore are entirely allowed under legal and ethical standards.
