Nigeria international Gift Orban has moved ahead of Victor Osimhen in the Turkish Super Lig goals chart after scoring in Amedspor’s 3-2 victory over Beşiktaş.
Orban scored one goal and provided an assist as Amedspor secured an important win in a closely contested match.
The 24-year-old striker has now scored seven goals and provided two assists in the Turkish top flight this season.
His seven goals put him among the joint top scorers in the Super Lig, alongside Trabzonspor winger Mohamed Salah.
Orban opened the scoring for Amedspor after 13 minutes against Beşiktaş.
He then turned provider in the 22nd minute, assisting his teammate for Amedspor’s second goal to give the home side a 2-0 lead.
Osimhen, who plays for Galatasaray, has scored six goals and provided two assists in the league this season.
Orban’s latest goal means he has now moved one goal ahead of his fellow Nigerian in the Super Lig scoring race.
Amedspor eventually held on to beat Beşiktaş 3-2 and claim all three points.
