British DJ and broadcaster Tim Westwood is facing two additional sexual offence charges as part of an ongoing investigation by the Metropolitan Police Service.
Westwood, 68, of Westminster, has been charged with indecent assault and sexual assault, the Metropolitan Police said in a statement dated September 22, 2026.
The Met said the new charges related to two separate alleged incidents involving young women.
According to the police, Westwood allegedly indecently assaulted a teenage girl aged between 16 and 17 in Hammersmith and Fulham in 1991.
He is also accused of sexually assaulting an 18-year-old woman in Wandsworth in May 2004.
The latest charges come in addition to 15 charges brought against Westwood in October 2025 involving seven women.
Those charges comprise four counts of rape, nine counts of indecent assault and two counts of sexual assault.
With the two new charges, Westwood now faces a total of 17 charges involving nine women, according to the Metropolitan Police.
Detective Superintendent Andy Furphy said the women who had made reports had placed their trust in the police and that officers remained committed to supporting them throughout the investigation.
“The women who have made reports have placed their trust in us, and we remain committed to providing them with all available support,” Furphy said.
He also directed victims and others seeking assistance to Rape Crisis, which operates a 24-hour Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Line.
Westwood is expected to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court at a future date in connection with the two additional charges.
Meanwhile, proceedings relating to the original 15 charges are scheduled to begin at Southwark Crown Court on January 25, 2027.
The Metropolitan Police urged media organisations and social media users to exercise caution in reporting the case, citing legal obligations under common law and the Contempt of Court Act 1981.
