Zenith Bank Declares N1.50 Interim Dividend, Sets October 30 Payment Date

Zenith Bank Plc has announced an interim dividend of N1.50 per ordinary share for the six months ended June 30, 2026, reaffirming its commitment to shareholder returns amid continued expansion in its banking operations.

The dividend, which is subject to applicable withholding tax, will be paid electronically on October 30, 2026, to shareholders whose names appear in the company’s register as of October 23, 2026.

According to a corporate action announcement dated October 9, 2026, the bank will close its register of shareholders on October 26, while eligible investors who have completed the required e-dividend registration will receive payments directly into their designated bank accounts.

Holders of the bank’s Global Depositary Receipts (GDRs) will receive their dividend payments after October 30.

The declaration follows Zenith Bank’s half-year financial results, which showed profit before tax rising by 1.9 percent to N637.6 billion from N625.6 billion in the corresponding period of 2025.

The lender also recorded an 87.8 percent increase in net interest income after impairment charges to N1.11 trillion, supported by a substantial reduction in credit impairment expenses.

Customer deposits increased to N26.35 trillion as of June 2026 from N24.33 trillion at the end of December 2025, while loans and advances expanded to N12.05 trillion from N10.45 trillion.

The interim dividend provides shareholders with a direct return on their investment despite a decline in profit after tax to N430.8 billion, largely reflecting higher taxation and weaker trading income.

Zenith Bank advised shareholders who have not completed their e-dividend registration to obtain the E-Dividend Mandate Activation Form from Veritas Registrars Limited through www.veritasregistrars.com.

Shareholders with outstanding dividend warrants or unclaimed share certificates were also encouraged to contact the registrar to regularise their records.

The bank did not announce any bonus share issue or general meeting in connection with the corporate action.
