Reports that Big Brother Naija star Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has been arrested by the Nigeria Police Force remained unconfirmed on Monday morning, with her manager telling P.M. NEWS that he had been unable to reach her.
P.M. NEWS contacted the reality television star’s manager by phone following reports that she was picked up at her residence in Ajah, Lagos.
“I can’t confirm her arrest. I’ve also been trying to reach her,” the manager told P.M. NEWS.
The arrest claim was earlier made by movie producer and Chief Executive Officer of Best of Nollywood, Seun Oloketuyi, in an Instagram post on Sunday.
Oloketuyi alleged that Tacha was arrested at her Ajah residence after failing to honour three invitations from the police between May and August 2026.
“Tacha has been arrested today by NPF,” he wrote.
He further claimed that the invitations were issued by the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre, NCCC.
“Arrested early this morning after she was sent 3 invitations btw May and August by NPF-NCCC but she decided not to honour the IVs… until she was picked up at her residence early this morning at her Ajah residence,” Oloketuyi wrote.
However, Tacha’s manager could not independently confirm the reported arrest when contacted by P.M. NEWS.
The reason for the alleged police invitations has also not been disclosed, while details surrounding the reported arrest remain unclear.
Tacha rose to prominence following her appearance on Big Brother Naija and has since established herself as a social media personality and entrepreneur in the entertainment and beauty sectors.
She recently spoke about the influence of her late mother on her career, describing her as hardworking and prayerful.
