Barcelona manager, Hansi Flick, has answered a question about whether winger Lamine Yamal is unhappy at the club.
Flick spoke to reporters at his pre-match press conference ahead of Barcelona’s La Liga clash with Athletic Club on Thursday.
Reports had emerged that Yamal was unhappy after being taken off in Barcelona’s win over Elche on Sunday.
Flick was asked about the development regarding the Spain international.
“He had a minor issue, a headache. Lamine is a genius, it’s understandable,” Flick told reporters.
“He’s had three weeks off and has only trained a few days. Normally, he’s not at his peak.
“It’s normal that he wants to play. When you’re a true champion, you always strive to win the next title.
“That’s his attitude. Every player on the team is hungry to win a third consecutive league title. We’re ready, and we will fight for it.”
