Nollywood actor Jim Iyke has weighed in on the topic of single-parenting, stressing the need for a two-parent household for children.

The actor, while speaking on the Lahor Podcast, explained that fathers play a critical role in raising boys and that mothers alone may find it difficult to provide everything a son needs to grow into a well-rounded man.

Iyke also noted that the absence of a father figure creates a gap in the way boys learn resilience and self-reliance. He recalled a bullying incident involving his son, revealing how he handled the situation.

“No woman alive alone can raise a full man. No man alive alone can raise a full man. You need both. At a beach in France , my son was bullied by other kids. He came to report to me, but I did nothing. He went back, fought them and took his ball back. That’s how boys learn,” he stated.
