Obasanjo visited Adeleke at the Osun Government House shortly after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared the governor winner of Saturday’s governorship election.
A video circulating on social media showed the former president dancing with Adeleke as officials and supporters celebrated the governor’s victory.
President Bola Tinubu, governors and other political leaders have congratulated Adeleke on securing another term in office.
In his victory address, Adeleke extended an olive branch to his opponents and pledged to govern in the interest of all Osun residents.
However, the All Progressives Congress said it was reviewing the election results and could challenge the outcome through legal means.
