State governors, First Ladies and high-ranking officials will assemble in Ogun State on Tuesday for the regional inauguration of the National Community Food Bank Programme, featuring the allocation of provisions to economically disadvantaged households across the state.
The initiative will launch in Makun, Sagamu, and is anticipated to draw key participants from across Nigeria as part of the Federal Government’s broader push to reinforce social assistance schemes and bolster vulnerable families.
The First Lady of Nigeria will preside over the distribution activities and related engagements during the visit.
She is scheduled to formally open the 108-unit Muhammadu Buhari residential complex at Kobape, Abeokuta, and will also inaugurate the Gateway Medical Centre of Excellence, a 250-bed state-of-the-art medical facility in Abeokuta designed to deliver comprehensive healthcare services to the state’s residents and surrounding populations.
The First Lady’s agenda includes a dialogue with major participants at the June 12 Cultural Centre in Kuto, Abeokuta.
The visit is intended to deepen coordination between the Federal and Ogun State authorities in healthcare provision, housing development and welfare services, whilst reaffirming both governments’ dedication to advancing living standards across Nigeria.
