Media personality Daddy Freeze has challenged the idea that people need to serve or worship God to become wealthy.
During an Instagram Live session on Wednesday night, Freeze was responding to comments made by online personality Peller at a church event in the UK.
Peller had said that while others were spending their nights praying, he was sleeping, yet God still blessed him with success.
Freeze disagreed with linking wealth to religious devotion.
He pointed out that countless devoted Christians remain poor despite their faith, so clearly being rich doesn’t depend on believing in or worshipping God.
He suggested that this idea actually keeps people trapped in poverty because they’re waiting for God to hand them money instead of creating value themselves.
According to Freeze, money comes from building something of value, not from prayer or faith.
He went further to say that someone could wake up every single day rejecting God entirely and still end up wealthy.
You don’t even need to acknowledge that God exists to be rich, he argued.
He criticized what he called a foolish belief passed down through generations that praying to God leads to money.
If that were true, he reasoned, the world’s ten richest people would all be born again Christians, which they’re not.
He also referenced the biblical story of Stephen to show that commitment to God doesn’t guarantee financial reward, and accused parents of spreading this stupidity to their children.
