A tour bus from the Netherlands crashed in the Swiss Alps on Thursday, killing five people and leaving dozens injured.
The coach was traveling through the Graubünden region when it hit a safety barrier in a roadworks area, veered off the road and flipped over between two towns.
The bus had started its journey in the Netherlands on Monday and was on a day trip through Austria and Switzerland when the accident happened.
Forty people were on the bus.
Besides the five who died, the others suffered injuries ranging from serious to minor.
Rescue teams used seven helicopters from Switzerland and Austria, along with ambulances and fire departments, to get everyone to hospitals.
Three people were seriously injured in the crash.
The victims have not yet been identified, and investigators are looking into what caused the accident.
Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten and the Dutch royal family expressed their sympathies to those affected.
The Swiss president said he was deeply shocked by the tragedy and offered condolences to the families of the victims.
The crash happened near Zernez, which is the gateway to Switzerland’s National Park, a massive Alpine nature reserve that stretches across the mountainous Engadine valley.
