Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe has said he would recruit Cristiano Ronaldo, Zinedine Zidane and Ronaldo Nazário if he could bring them back to the club.
All three are Madrid legends.
Ronaldo is the club’s all-time leading goalscorer with 450 goals and won four of his five Ballon d’Or awards at Madrid.
Ronaldo Nazário won his second Ballon d’Or while at Madrid and captured two La Liga titles.
Zidane, also a Ballon d’Or winner, achieved numerous prestigious titles as both a player and manager.
When asked which former players he would recruit for Madrid, Mbappe told Diario AS that Cristiano would come back, Zidane still participates occasionally and Ronaldo’s excellence never diminishes.
He said they represent Madrid legends and continue to generate tremendous enthusiasm among supporters.
Mbappe joined Madrid three years ago as a free agent.
He has had an exceptional start, nearing 100 goals in his third campaign.
In his first two seasons, he scored 86 goals and won consecutive Pichichi awards despite Madrid finishing behind Barcelona in La Liga both times.
Mbappe was the 2018 FIFA World Cup champion.
