The Muslim Rights Concern, MURIC, has petitioned the Commissioner of Police in Oyo State, Abimbola Olugbenga over alleged killing of one person inside a mosque.
MURIC in the petition alleged that Pa Biliaminu Taiwo was killed inside a mosque in Fiditi, Afijio local government area of the state in 2019.
The organisation made these declarations via a statement signed by its Secretary in Oyo State, Mallam Ibrahim Agunbiade.
The statement was made available to DAILY POST on Friday in Ibadan, the state capital.
Agunbiade explained that a suspect identified as Ojo Akinlabi has been arrested in connection with the crime.
He, however, advised the police commissioner to investigate the matter.
Agunbiade said that Taiwo was hacked to death inside the mosque in November, 2019.
He then used the opportunity to appeal to the police commissioner to ensure a thorough investigation.
He added that care must be taken to ensure that the suspect was not allowed freedom until he was arraigned in court.
