2027 Presidency: APC Names Arabinrin Aderonke to National Campaign Council

Arabinrin Aderonke has been appointed a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2027 National Campaign Council, where she will serve as Coordinating Secretary, Media/Strategic Communications III.

Her appointment is contained in the membership list of the APC 2027 Presidential Campaign Council released by the presidential spokesman, Bayo Onanuga on Saturday, August 22, 2026, which features prominent party chieftains and professionals assigned to various positions across the campaign structure.

Aderonke brings to the campaign council extensive experience in journalism, strategic communications, policy and public affairs. She was a 2013 laureate of the Wole Soyinka Investigative Reporting Award and a finalist at the 2016 CNN African Journalist Award, two distinctions that underscore her background in journalism and investigative reporting.

She is also an author and policy adviser, with professional affiliations including the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and the Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (FICA).

Reacting to the appointment, Aderonke described the nomination as a new responsibility and expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in her.

She said she was deeply honoured by the opportunity to contribute her experience, energy and commitment to the success of the APC.

“This is a call to service, and I embrace it with humility, responsibility and a clear understanding of the task ahead,” she said.

Aderonke also pledged to approach the assignment with dedication, while calling for unity and renewed commitment within the party.

“Forward together. Renewed hope, renewed commitment,” she added.

Her appointment further expands the APC’s media and strategic communications team as the party begins preparations for the 2027 general elections.

The campaign council includes several notable figures across media, politics, security and strategic communications, reflecting the party’s efforts to build a broad-based structure ahead of the presidential contest.
