The Kano State anti-corruption body has arrested four people over the alleged demolition of a classroom at Unguwan Uku Primary School in Tarauni Local Government Area.
The commission said the investigation started after residents complained about the classroom destruction.
Initial findings suggest the school’s head teacher worked with members of the School-Based Management Committee and the education secretary of Tarauni Local Government to pull down the classroom and sell the iron rods and roofing materials without getting permission from authorities.
Four suspects have been arrested in the case and will face court after investigations wrap up.
The commission chairman urged the public to report any incidents of vandalism or illegal disposal of public and community property so authorities can act on it.
