The incumbent governor of Osun State and Accord Party candidate, Ademola Adeleke, has won another polling unit in Osogbo Local Government Area following the conclusion of voting, sorting and counting of ballots.
Adeleke secured 134 votes at Polling Unit 13, Ward 4, Osogbo, according to the result declared by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate came second with 75 votes, while the African Democratic Congress (ADC) polled four votes.
The results announced at the polling unit were:
- Accord Party – 134
- APC – 75
- ADC – 4
- ADP – 1
- AAC – 1
- APGA – 1
The result was declared after INEC officials completed the sorting and counting of ballots at the polling unit.
P.M. NEWS correspondents monitoring the election in Osogbo reported that voting had ended in several polling units across the local government area, with officials proceeding with the sorting and counting of ballots.
The results from the polling units are expected to feed into the subsequent ward and local government collation process as the Osun governorship election progresses.
