Gunmen attacked members of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, during a grassroots mobilisation meeting in Obuoffia Ward, Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State.
The incident reportedly occurred at about 3:40 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2026, during a voter sensitisation meeting organised by the party.
One person was reportedly shot during the attack, while party members and other attendees fled the scene in panic.
A video from the incident shows the meeting venue moments before the attack, with attendees seated at the gathering.
The video also captured the moment gunshots were fired, causing those at the venue to disperse and run for safety.
