The Nollywood industry was thrown into a state of mourning on Wednesday after the news of the death of veteran actor Olu Jacobs was announced.
The announcement made in a joint post by his wife, Joke Silva and children, revealed that the actor passed away on Wednesday morning. They expressed their grief, regarding Olu Jacobs as the Lion of Lufodo.
”It is with gratitude to God for a life well lived and fought, that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather and uncle. The Lion of Lufodo,” the post reads.
The statement quickly stirred reactions from notable individuals in the Nollywood industry. They prayed for the deceased and his family, praying that his memory lives on and continues to put smiles of people’s faces.
”Eternal Rest Grant unto him oh lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his gentle soul continue to rest in perfect peace Amen,” Bisola Aiyeola wrote.
”May his soul find eternal rest at the right hand of God, and may his memory live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him,” Broda Shaggi wrote.
”May his soul rest in peace,” Funke Akindele stated.
”Rest well Uncle! You will forever be in our hearts,” Ini Edo also commented.
