The 2027 governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, has pledged to complete all ongoing projects across the state and sustain the development trajectory of the administration of Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun if elected.
Senator Adeola Yayi made the pledge on Thursday at a rally organised by an independent campaign group, “Caucus 7202,” in Ijebu-Ode. The rally was organised to declare the group’s support for all APC candidates in the 2027 elections in Ogun State.
Speaking at the rally, which was attended by Governor Abiodun, Adeola said his administration would build on the achievements of the current government, assuring residents that projects initiated by the Abiodun administration would not be abandoned.
“Every plan in our manifesto is towards the continuation of the plans of Prince Dapo Abiodun’s administration. I assure you that whatever is left to be completed, Kudirat and I are coming not just to complete them, but to continue the good works and take Ogun State to the next level,” he said.
Adeola also called on Ogun residents to deliver two million votes to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election, citing the Federal Government’s projects and interventions in the state as reasons to support the President and other APC candidates.
“We are planning to deliver two million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Ogun State. There are no two ways about it. The intention is to queue and vote to achieve this aim. For us, the President has outperformed every other President in the history of this country.
“The Calabar Coastal Road is passing through Ogun State. The Sokoto-Badagry Super Highway is also passing through Ogun State. The President and the administration of Prince Dapo Abiodun are also about to launch the biggest deep-sea port in Africa in Ogun State. The President and Dapo Abiodun deserve to be rewarded for their efforts,” Senator Adeola Yayi said.
Dapo Abiodun is the APC candidate for the Ogun East Senatorial District in the 2027 general election.
The rally was also attended by the Ogun State APC Chairman, Chief Yemi Sanusi; Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Oludaisi Elemide; among other party leaders and supporters.
