Niger Tornadoes goalkeeper, Alladoum Francis Kolimba has been invited to the Central African Republic national team for the upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Mauritania and Burkina Faso.
Kolimba is making a return to the national team after being recalled for the two important qualifying matches.
The goalkeeper last represented the Central African Republic in a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Angola. He has three international caps to his name.
His latest invitation comes after he joined Nigeria Premier Football League side Niger Tornadoes.
Kolimba is yet to make his debut for the Ikon Allah Boys this season, but his invitation shows that he remains part of the plans of the Central African Republic national team.
The 2027 AFCON qualifiers will provide Kolimba with another opportunity to compete at international level and fight for a place in the starting lineup.
The Central African Republic will begin the latest round of fixtures with an away match against Mauritania on Thursday, September 24.
They will then return home to face Burkina Faso four days later, on Monday, September 28.
Both matches are important for the Central African Republic as they continue their campaign to qualify for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
Kolimba will hope to use the international break to regain his place in the national team and possibly add to his three international appearances.
His return also gives Niger Tornadoes another player representing his country at international level, despite the goalkeeper yet to feature for the NPFL club this season.
