AFRICOM said the equipment would support Nigeria’s efforts to fight terrorism and other security threats in the region.

“The equipment is part of a foreign military sales agreement that furthers the US Nigerian partnership and will aid in Nigeria’s efforts to counter terrorism in the region,” the command said.

The latest delivery is part of the ongoing defence and security cooperation between Nigeria and the United States.

The partnership is focused on supporting Nigeria’s efforts to improve its military capacity and tackle terrorism and other security challenges.
